Extensive Renovation Completed of a former holiday home into a modern family home

Kartre was approached to support a client in the delivery of the refurbishment of a traditional stone holiday cottage outside Ruthin, North Wales into a beautiful modern family home.

This client worked away in the week and it was our role to provide day to day running of the development, co ordinate subcontractors and offer design solutions throughout the build.

Key to the brief was to retain the original character of the property whilst improving on 21st century living amenities. The property was in its original state and the single storey long room was in such poor condition we decided that the best long term resolution was to demolish and rebuild like for like.

This property now has ‘A’ standard insulation throughout,( in floors, walls and ceilings), bespoke locally made double glazed windows.

A new extension to the rear has been designed to link in the old stone property with new rendered walls giving an updated appearance.

Modern facilities have been added to include en-suites, underfloor heating, air source heat-pump etc.

The bespoke stairs and kitchen complete this unique and striking interior.

Working closely with the client in choosing finishes has transformed the property into a beautiful home to share with their family and entertain friends.
